Sr. Patrol Leader

The Senior Patrol Leader for our Troop is Fernando J. Valle. Fernando started his scouting career as a Tiger Cub in Pack 811. He earned the Wolf, Bear, and Webelos badges as a Cub Scout, and earned the Arrow of Light, Cub Scouting’s highest award.  

In 2001, Fernando became a Boy Scout. As a Boy Scout, he has served as a Den Chief, Patrol Leader, Assistant Patrol Leader, Troop Scribe, Chaplain’s Aide, Troop Guide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, and Instructor.  On the Council level, Fernando has served as Senior Patrol Leader and Troop Guide for the NYLT- Eagle Claw training. He is a Brother in the Order of the Arrow, and currently serves as the Camp Promotions Chairman on the Lodge Executive Committee for the O-Shot-Caw Lodge.

Fernando has attended numerous trainings, including but not limited to Den Chief training, Troop JLT, Eagle Claw JLTC, National Junior Leader Instructor Camp, and Kodiak Venture Training.

Fernando has participated in various High Adventure programs, including trips to Philmont, Florida Sea Base, and the National Jamboree. In May, 2006, Fernando earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He has just earned his Bronze Eagle Palm, and is currently working on his Gold Palm.  Fernando is very excited about the World Jamboree trip, and he looks forward to working with the youth and adult leaders to make this trip the best it can possibly be.

Asst. Sr. Patrol Leader

The Assistant Sr. Patrol Leader for our Troop is Brandon A. Kinsey.  Brandon started his scouting career as a Wolf Cub in Pack 397.  He earned the Wolf, Bear, and Webelos badges as a Cub Scout, and earned the Arrow of Light, Cub Scouting's highest award.

In 2000, Brandon became a Boy Scout.  As a Boy Scout, he has served as a Den Chief, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Troop Scribe, Chaplain's Aide, Troop Guide, Instructor, Assistant Sr. Patrol Leader, Sr. Patrol Leader, and Jr. Assistant Scoutmaster.  At the District level, Brandon has served as staff for numerous adult trainings, including Boy Scout Leader Specific, Outdoor Training, and Webelos Leader Specific.  He has served as the District's SPL for the Youth Roundtable for the past year and is currently Chapter Secretary for the Elgixin Chapter of the O-Shot-Caw Lodge.  On the Council level, Brandon has served as staff on many council camping events, summer camp staff, University of Scouting and Wood Badge.  He has attended Den Chief Training, Troop JLT, Eagle Claw JLTC, National Jr. Leader Instructor Camp, and is the Sr. Patrol Leader for South Florida Council's Eagle Claw National Youth Leader Training this year.

In October of 2004, Brandon earned his Eagle Scout rank and has received Bronze, Gold and Silver palms.

Quartermaster

A Jay FlackThe Quartermaster for our troop is A.Jay Flack, Jr.   A.Jay started scouting as a Tiger Cub in Pack 3821 (Sheboygan, Wisconsin)  where he also earned his Bobcat, Wolf, and Bear ranks.  He continued Cub Scouting in Pack 3707 and earned the Arrow of Light as a Webelos.  

After crossing over to Troop 777, he earned the ranks through second class. In the summer of 2001 he and his family moved to Florida.  He is a Life Scout in Troop 111 working on his Eagle Scout Rank.  He is also dually enrolled in Sea Scout Ship 777 and is the Boatswain (SPL equivalent) with the rank of Able.

In addition to his vast amount of time spent in scouting he has also gone to many trainings and staffed a variety of events. Just to name a few:  for his troop: SPL, ASPL, Troop Guide, Quartermaster, Historian, Den Chief, Patrol Leader, and Assistant Patrol Leader; for the Gulf Stream Council: he has served as the ASPL for two National Youth Leader Training (N.Y.L.T.) courses and as a troop guide for one.  He has also served as a youth staff for two Wood Badge courses, and has served on a plethora of other staffs including five years of summer camp staff. 

He is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge 237 and has served as Chapter Chief and currently serving as Lodge Elections Chairman.

A.Jay has also attended many major scouting trips including the National Jamboree as a patrol leader, International Sea Scout Koch Cup Regatta, three Order of the Arrow Section Conferences, and numerous Tampa Bay Sea Scout Regattas.

Outside of Scouting A.Jay enjoys, fishing, sailing, computers, football, and his church's Youth Ministries Lifeteen group.

He is ecstatic about the International Jamboree and can not wait.

Historian/Scribe

Steven FeldmanThe troop Historian and Scribe is Steven D. Feldman who started his scouting career as a Tiger Cub in Pack 812. He earned the Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos badges as a Cub Scout, and earned the Arrow of Light, Cub Scouting’s highest award.

In 2000, Steven joined Boy Scout Troop 888, where he served as Troop Guide, Scribe, Historian, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader, Order of the Arrow Representative, and Troop Quartermaster. He has attended NYLT and staffed Tannah Keeta summer camp.  He is currently a Life Scout working on his Eagle project and should be an Eagle Scout before the World Jamboree
